Two trees, inhabiting the forest by a rock
were visited upon.
Colors, similar to the ones their leaves were turning,
bind them together in the air
as they are bound below.
Barely there like a whisper between them,
the imported colors wrap around these two trees
enshrined under the stars.
Visited upon by owls and chickadees, lichen and ants, chipmunk and weasel.
Its bark, roots, sap, branches and leaves hold incalculable value.
